June 2026 brought another awesome Barbarian Challenge! It brings together challenging obstacles, beautiful scenery, and great fellowship. It also has great support from the community.
It has a unique venue at Noccalula Falls in Gadsden, Alabama. The Park, City, and local Churches all are big supporters. There are the Four Hills of the Apocalypse and a swim under the Falls. There’s also a great race for the kids.
Cal and Elizabeth Burr, along with their staff give a very challenging course with the help of obstacles from the Legend himself, Hubie Cushman. You will also see Hometown Gal and USAOCR Team Member, Courtney Washington show why she is elite.
There’s plenty of fellowship from many OCR Teams including, OCR Tribe, Dealers of Hope, Grey Berets, Grey Betties, and the Emerald Coast OCR. And we are all hyped for the race thanks to Jarian The Barbarian and live cannon fire.
