From October 3–10, thousands of people across the country will lace up with one shared intention: to move with purpose, spark conversations about mental health, and remind one another that caring for our minds is worth making time for. This week marks the beginning of something meaningful — and OCR Buddy is proud to support Still I Run to help our community stay connected as it grows.
What to Expect During the Week
As National Run for Mental Health Week approaches, participants will receive tools, resources, and inspiration to make the most of every mile:
- Strava Challenge — Join the official National Run for Mental Health Week Strava Challenge and log your miles alongside runners and walkers across the country.
- Daily mental health resources — Learn more about the connection between movement and mental well‑being with educational content and inspiration delivered throughout the week.
- Giveaways and prizes — Fun surprises will pop up as you move through the week.
- Community stories — Hear from people who remind us that none of us are alone on this journey.
- Ways to get others involved — Easy tools to help you bring friends, family, coworkers, and your local running community into the movement.
This week isn’t just about miles — it’s about connection, awareness, and showing up for ourselves and each other.

Why This Week Matters
The World Health Organization notes that “people who engage in regular physical activity have up to a 30% lower risk of developing depression.” Movement isn’t a cure for mental illness, but it is a powerful tool — one that can help us feel grounded, connected, and supported.
National Run for Mental Health Week exists to celebrate that truth. Every step matters. Every pace belongs. No one has to move alone.
